The history and age of Changue house is unclear although ownership of the original Changue Estate can be traced back as far as the 17th Century when legend has it that the areas most famed resident ‘The Laird o' Changue’ made a pact with devil exchanging his soul for great wealth. The Laird’s ability to spend money was well known and, having squandered his fortune, the devil came to collect what he was owed. By this time the Laird had changed his mind over his deal and a great battle ensued on the hill opposite the house where to this day the devils footprints can still be seen where no grass will grow.

 Front Entance Hall

Changue house has recently been fully refurbished throughout by the current owners (much to the delight of the resident ghosts!) and is the flagship property of Divine Time Self Catering Holiday Houses. Taking into account its unique private location with walking and mountain biking trails direct from the door, all the golf courses you could wish for a short drive away, beautiful scenery, wildlife and a great village pub serving food a mile down a pretty country lane what a perfect location for a totally relaxing break!

 Formal Drawing Room

The traditional Drawing room is complete with Chesterfield furniture, log burning stove and satellite TV whilst the Library has a piano and internet access via a wifi connection. Both have fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and amazing sunsets over the hills to the west.

The Billiards Room houses an 8ft Snooker/Pool table, Darts board and table football as well as a selection of games and DVD library.

 Contemporary Kitchen

There is a large, fully equipped, contemporary open plan Kitchen Dining room including a range cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and seating for twelve. More intimate dinners can be taken at the round table in the Library which houses a vast collection of books, large open fireplace with wooden mantel and comfortable sofas.

The Drying Room is suitable to dry all outdoor clothing, equipment and walking boots as well as a Utility room on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The first floor includes a master bedroom suite, with king size double bed, dressing area and en-suite bathroom, a further 3 double bedrooms (one with double bed, two with full size single beds).

In addition to the en-suite, there are bathrooms both on the ground and first floor.

 Butler's Room

The second floor has a family room with double bed and two full size single beds. The views from this room to the countryside are simply breathtaking!
